Nikki Menig - aka AKOIMORI - is an illustrator / animator from Chicago, IL with a BFA from the California College of the Arts. Her art delves into the challenges of human existence, and identity, while unpacking the significance of human relationships within modern society. The work is raw and haunting, yet seductive as it mimics the true human condition. Within each project, she consistently strives to push the connection between artist and viewer - beyond our society’s current trends.
Menig showcased her work at CCA's First Year Exhibit and had her essay "The Beast Narrative" published in CCA's Arts Review. Her graphic novel, "Memento Mori," debuted in 2022 alongside her first solo exhibition.
